The Superior Gold Group has begun its initial investigation into the prospects of supporting the 1 Laptop per Child Initiative, founded by Nicholas Negoponte. President Bruce Sands and the Superior Gold Group have a commitment to making a change in the world for causes that they deem to be worth while such as Ramos and Campeon. Upon reaching a charitable marketing strategy the Superior Gold Group could donate proceeds totaling as much as $100,000 over the course of 2008 to support global education programs such as the 1 Laptop per Child Initiative, beginning as early as March 2008. Stay tuned for more information and read the mission statement of the 1 Laptop Per Child Initiative below:

mission

Most of the nearly two–billion children in the developing world are inadequately educated, or receive no education at all. One in three does not complete the fifth grade.

The individual and societal consequences of this chronic global crisis are profound. Children are consigned to poverty and isolation—just like their parents—never knowing what the light of learning could mean in their lives. At the same time, their governments struggle to compete in a rapidly evolving, global information economy, hobbled by a vast and increasingly urban underclass that cannot support itself, much less contribute to the commonweal, because it lacks the tools to do so.
